2018 in Review

New Year, New You.

New Year, New Do.

New Year, New Gnu.

New Year, New Poo.

New Year, New Who?

New Year, I’m through.

2018 was a difficult year. We had a baby, bought a house, bought a car, and started a new business. As cliche as it is, “It was the best of times. It was the worst of times” really sums up the year.

We love our daughter, but I can’t remember the last time we had a full night of sleep.

We are so blessed to have our own house, but boy has it been financially trying.

And anyone will tell you that starting a business is hard.

And yet, we were able to have everyone over for Christmas: moms, dads, sisters, grandparents. We had enough seats for everyone and the largest amount of presents I’ve ever seen under my tree. It was crazy, busy, and wonderful.

Our kitchen may be under construction, but we had plenty of food and no one seemed to mind the paint samples on the wall.

I have no idea what this coming year will hold. There are things I hope for, things I want, but as to what will happen, what surprises and bends in the road that will come our way, all of that is a mystery.

I pray for courage and perseverance this year. May we rely on God in the best and worst of times and see the blessings amidst the thorns.

May God bless You in this, the year of our Lord, 2019.
