Most people make resolutions at New Years, but I like to make them during the summer. This year I’m resolving to be more consistent about blogging.
I have plenty of good excuses for not blogging: new baby, new house, new family business. But I need a few things for myself, like my morning coffee and my Barre class, and blogging is one of those things.
It’s crazy to think that we have officially been Tennessee residents for two years! We love the little town we live in and being closer to family. And we’ve even made friends! Yay!!
Those of you who are moms know how important it is to have other mom friends. I am so grateful to have a group of ladies to meet up and share poop stories with.
Making friends was one of my resolutions from last year and I hope to deepen those friendships this year while renewing old friendships as well.
I’m also resolving to be better about responding to emails, texts, and especially letters. While I was going through some of my things I left at my parents house I found a whole stack of unsent letters: Christmas cards, thank you notes, etc. I was horrified that I had never sent them. So even though some of them were 10 years old, I finally put stamps on them and put them in the mail.
I’m a fan of short blog posts (I especially hate those mile long posts with a recipe at the very bottom. Like, why not just post the recipe with a quick blurb at the bottom??), and this one is starting to run long and ramble-y, so I’ll wrap it up:
Resolutions:
- Write blog posts consistently
- Deepen friendships (coffee dates, mom hangouts, play dates, etc)
- Renew old friendships (check in frequently through text, messenger, phone calls, and letters)
- Respond quickly to texts, emails, and letters
What are your summer/fall resolutions? Have you kept up with the ones you made in January?
